Let’s build a garden that grows with you
Expert guidance in planning, setting up and maintaining kitchen and herb gardens and native beds
What we provide
It all starts with a one hour consultation. I will visit you in your space to discuss your goals and how you want to use your garden. This informs the right setup, timing and strategy for your garden. This can work for an existing or a brand new space.
Welcome to Catoctin Gardenworks, where my love of growing things has become a way to help people connect with the living world just outside their doors. Whether you’re dreaming of a productive kitchen garden, a pollinator‑friendly planting, or simply a few herbs on a sunny patio, I help you grow with confidence — working with your space, your goals, and the rhythms of the land.
I work with individuals, businesses and community groups in Frederick County Maryland and provide garden consulting, coaching, workshops and plans customized to your goals and location.
I create a plan shaped by your goals, local conditions, and what feels achievable for you. Whether your goal is to grow food, flowers or habitat, or all three, we can design a beautiful and functional garden to set you up for success and enjoyment in your space.
With clear guidance and steady support, you gain the confidence to tend your garden well. With ongoing coaching, I can help you know how to plant, tend, and harvest your garden throughout the seasons.
About
I founded Catoctin Gardenworks when one chapter of life ended and I chose to step through a new door that was opening. That choice was grounded in years of experience growing food with and for my family, experimenting with sustainable practices, and tending gardens designed to support pollinators and native plants here in the Catoctin Mountain region.
Today, I help individuals and businesses create gardens that are both beautiful and practical. Whether you’re dreaming of a large vegetable garden, a welcoming habitat for birds and bees, or simply a few herbs on a sunny patio, I meet you where you are and help you grow with confidence.
My work is guided by soil‑first practices, local knowledge, and the belief that gardens should support people, pollinators, and the wider ecosystem — all while fitting naturally into everyday life. Together, we can grow food, grow beauty, and grow habitat — and rediscover the joy that comes from working with nature, one garden at a time.
Let’s Get Started
Whether you’re just starting or ready to grow more, I’d love to help you cultivate a garden that nourishes both you and the land.
